As a reminder to all members, it is important to note that the printing of the member’s handbook will cease at the conclusion of this current season. This decision comes as part of the club's broader initiative to embrace modern technology and streamline our operations. In line with this, the club is excited to announce that we will be launching online applications for the upcoming 2025/6 season. This significant transition marks a pivotal moment in our efforts to enhance accessibility and efficiency for all members.
By moving to an online application system, we will not only reduce our reliance on physical materials but also alleviate the burden on applicants who have traditionally been required to submit printed identification photos, as well as the need for postage and stamped addressed envelopes. This change is expected to significantly improve the overall processing and dispatching of PDAC permits, making it a smoother and more efficient experience for everyone involved. Members can look forward to a more streamlined application process that saves time and resources, ultimately fostering a more environmentally friendly approach to our membership management. This transition reflects our commitment to innovation and our dedication to serving our members in the most effective way possible.
Postal Applications.
We understand that not all applicants will be familiar with online technology, nor will they necessarily have access to the necessary devices to submit their applications digitally. Therefore, we recognise the importance of maintaining a system that accommodates these individuals; as such, postal applications will continue to be accepted for the time being. This approach ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the application process, regardless of their technological proficiency or access to the internet.
To facilitate this transition, we will ensure that application forms are readily available through multiple channels. Applicants will be able to request forms directly, additionally forms will be downloadable from our official website, providing a straightforward way for tech-savvy individuals to access and complete their applications at their convenience. Furthermore, we are collaborating with local tackle outlets to make application forms available in physical locations, ensuring that those who prefer a traditional approach or lack internet access still have a viable option to apply.
We are committed to supporting all applicants throughout this transition, providing clear guidance and assistance as needed to ensure that everyone can successfully navigate the application process, regardless of their technological background. As we continue to enhance our systems and processes, we appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all applicants during this period of change.
New Format.
The new format will launch mid-March from the website, we expect processing of permits to be dispatched and received within 3 working days on application, one application per applicant. When applying, simply fill in the required fields, those applying for concessions, such as Registered Disabled or Student permits will be required to upload proof of disability and a Student id card.
New permit cards must be carried at all times when visiting PDAC waters, your card will also include a QR code to gain access to “Guidance & Rules”, all rules will also be displayed at each venue for those not in possession of electronic devices. Your card will also include access codes to gain entry to club waters.
Please be advised that we shall also be introducing a non-refundable administration fee for replacement permit cards (lost or damaged).
Membership Secretary.
Please be reminded that a new membership secretary to replace the current one, Geoff Grimes, is anticipated to be elected at the upcoming AGM. Details will be provided immediately after the meeting. It's important to emphasise that sending any postal applications to Geoff Grimes will result in delays in processing memberships.
Members Area/PDAC App.
We encourage members to utilise the member’s area on our website and download the PDAC mobile app for numerous benefits. The member’s area offers exclusive access to club materials like documents, and newsletters, along with an instant blog release system for updates and an easy booking platform for events. The PDAC app, available via the “spaces by Wix” app, complements the member’s area by providing mobile access to these features, ensuring connectivity and engagement on the go.
Please note, all member's accounts will be temporarily deactivated on Friday, 28th March, accounts will be reactivated once renewal is confirmed. New members will receive an invitation to join the member’s area once their application is processed.
AGM.
Membership renewals will be available in person during the break at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 18th February. This event is a chance for members to engage with the club and participate in discussions shaping the club's future. We encourage a strong attendance, as your participation is vital. Attendees are eligible for the "Members Free Membership Draw".
We appreciate any raffle donations, which support our Development Programme aimed at enhancing junior membership. Every contribution is valuable. Enjoy hot and cold drinks to stay refreshed during the event.
Your presence enriches the experience and strengthens the club moving forward.
