Petersfield & District Angling Club water Nyewood Ponds, was the host venue for a charity match that attracted some top and up & coming anglers from the south of England.
The 30 peg event organised by Pdac club member Ethan Etherington in aid of the England Disabled Team was sold out and attracted some big names such as ...
Des Shipp Five team England world gold medals, two European gold medals along with several silver medals. Winner of around 9 festivals at Whiteacres and 2 Parkdean masters wins.
The event also saw the return of two former Pdac junior club members Pemb Wrighting & Alex Clements, both went on to win various titles including England Team gold and individual Silver medals and England gold and Individual gold medals respectively.
The weather was not ideal on the day and the weights were not up to the normal standards expected, but most anglers landed good fish.
Up & coming star 15-year-old Freddie Bacon (Dorking) produced 16.10 of silvers and worked extremely hard for it.
Winchester’s Charlie Sibley (30.11) England u15 Bronze medalist and England Disabled Team & Pdac member Ethan Etherington (Midhurst) (25.07), both put their skills on show to land decent fish.

England Disabled Team manager John Weedon said the day had been a great success and it’s raised a massive £1820 including a large single donation from a Petersfield club member.
