JCC Lighting Junior League 2025/6
Confirmed fixtures for the 2025/6 JCC Lighting Junior League have been officially confirmed. This season promises to be filled with some thrilling junior matches, showcasing the talents of young anglers within the club. The league aims to provide a competitive yet supportive environment for junior members to develop their skills, gain valuable experience, and foster a good approach for the sport. As the season progresses, updates regarding match results, anglers statistics, and highlights will be shared to keep everyone engaged and informed.
The anticipation builds as the club prepares for what is expected to be an enjoyable season in the JCC Lighting Junior League.

These events are available to members aged sixteen and under, regardless of their angling skills. Those interested in participating can email the PDAC Development Programme at thepdac@gmail to express their interest and be included in the list for notifications and email updates about the league and other events.

Here is the list of confirmed dates for the upcoming season. However, one event is still awaiting a confirmed date. This event will take place at Marsh Farm Fisheries, offering our members the chance to experience an external venue.

League format & Rules
Junior anglers will fish a series of matches over the season, all placings will be awarded points for each match. Weights from each match will be recorded, all information will then used to calculate the final combined weights & points for all participants at the end of the league. Awards will be presented to the winners after the final league match of the season. Interclub & Junior Open Match weights & points will count towards the League.
This league will offer opportunities to win various trophies and prizes provided by our sponsors JCC Lighting.

Rules:

All participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

All matches to be of a 3 hour duration (unless stated otherwise)
-
All matches are to be fished with one rod or pole at any one time
-
2 keepnets are required (1x silvers / 1 x carp) carp & silvers must be in separate net. A third net may be required if large weights are expected (weight limits, carp 50lbs & silvers 30lbs) All nets must be dry on arrival, nets will be available on request to those who dont have them (we have a limited number available)

At least a 22” landing net is required on all home venues. A smaller or larger net maybe required on certain venues.

Barbless hooks only to be used (max size 12)

No bite alarms permitted

All fish when weighed MUST NOT ! be tumbled down the keepnet, assistance will be available
-
No surface baits are to be used – all baits must be at least 15cm ( 6” ) below the surface.

A maximum of the following baits are allowed in any one match:

Maggot/pinkie/squatt/casters (4pt),

Sweetcorn 1 tin

Luncheon meat 1 tin

Pellet 1 kilo
-
Groundbait 1 kilo

Bloodworm/ Joker is not permitted on PDAC waters​​
